Chloe Marie Watterud is a singer/songwriter from Minot, North Dakota, who wrote her first song when she was 8 years old. At 13 she wrote "Now It's Maybe", but her first single to be produced and released was "Adore", which came out in October 2016. Seven months later, she released her "Now It's Maybe" single, followed by her first music video. In September 2017, 10 days before her 16th birthday, she released her third original single, "Don't Have to Be".

Chloe Marie spent the summer of 2017 writing and performing music, and topped off the summer auditioning for American Idol in Omaha, Nebraska. That fall she performed at the Womens Business Summit at the Bismarck Events Center, Bismarck. She also headed back to Adapt Audio in Minot to begin the production work for her first EP (short album).

Her EP, named New Start, was released in May 2018 and includes the songs “Busy,”“Chaos,” I’ll Be There,”“New Start,” and “Sorry”. With the release of her EP, she now has 8 songs that have been produced and are available on iTunes, Spotify and other music sites.

This summer, Chloe Marie focused on building upon her experience with performing. She was the opening entertainment for a five-night children’s performance of “The Jungle Book”, sang at a block party and talent show, performed at Arts in the Park sponsored by the Minot Area Council of the Arts, and acted and sang in the Minot State Summer Theatre production of “Sister Act”. She also performed on the Dakota Talent Stage at the North Dakota State Fair, sang the National Anthem at baseball games and car races, and performed at the Souris Valley Animal Shelter. Her August schedule included performances at a church concert in Bottineau, the North Dakota Chokecherry Festival in Williston, the Why Not music festival in Minot, and the Minot Food Truck Festival.

Born in Fargo, ND, Chloe Marie attended Horace Elementary in Horace, ND, before moving with her family to Minot in 2012 when she was in 5th grade. She is now in 11th grade and attends Minot High School Magic City Campus in Minot. She is the daughter of Tony and Tanya Watterud and has two married siblings, Chelsea (John) Gleich and Chad (Haley) Watterud.

Chloe Marie is active in cheerleading and several groups in school, including National Honor Society and the acapella singing group called Change of Pace. She takes voice, guitar and piano lessons, participates in a church choir and a community choir, and sings for funerals and weddings.
