Jessie Rae
Jessie Rae is a 20 year old songwriter from Chicago, currently studying at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. Ever since she was young, music has been a huge part of her life. From local talent shows to singing duets with Train for over 20,000 people, each performance has impacted her and instilled her passion for music.
Jessie’s life wasn’t always easy. She has had hardships that have pushed her far beyond her 20 years. “After being in a place where I truly didn’t see a future, I want to show people that no matter what the circumstances are, you can still follow your dreams. Life is all about perspective, and no one is in control of your future, and your happiness, but yourself.” No matter what someone’s struggles are, Jessie wants to show that even when you think there is no hope, you have the power to turn your life around.
“All I’ve ever wanted was to be an inspiration. There is so much negativity in the world and the media right now, If I can bring just a little positivity into someone’s life through my words and my music, then I’ve done my job.”
