Rose Bateman

Rose Bateman is currently a music student at Minot State University. From an early age, Rose showed a love of music. She often sang solos in church and at school. Later, Rose joined and then student directed the Western Plains Children’s Choir. Rose began playing the cello in eighth grade, thenthree years later, as a sixteen-year-old, she joined the Minot Symphony Orchestra. Some of Rose’s proudest accomplishments are playing the role of Tuptim in “The King and I”, performing in Carnegie Hall,and earning the Holly Lund “Cowgirl of the Night” award. She enjoys reading, sewing and running. She plans to become a music teacher and hopes to live on ranch with lots of horses. However, that won’t happen until after she serves a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, of which she has been a life-long member.
